Botley and Curdridge Welfare Trust
There for our community in times of need
The Botley and Curdridge Welfare Trust has been supporting our local community for over 100 years. The small legacy fund originally provided a local nurse to administer to the sick and provide maternity care. These days the fund provides small one-off payments for residents who have an immediate need.
Recently we have provided travel funds to allow visit to a relative in care, we have helped pay moving expenses for a resident who was relocated within the village and we made sure that the whole class could go on a school trip by covering the cost for some children who would otherwise not have been able to go.
We can help with small sums that make a big difference.
The Trust also supports local charities and groups that work in our community. Curdridge Lunch Club and the mini bus regularly get help. Homestart and even the Botley swimming pool reopening project have received grants. We would like to hear from other small local groups that would benefit from a little help from the Trust.
Our biggest commitment is our Christmas Giving. Each year we provide a little Christmas cheer to many of our senior residents. Dropping in and staying in touch with old friends as well as some newer ones and giving hampers to families and individuals to enrich their Christmas larders.
If you know of anyone who would benefit from a little Christmas cheer in December we would love to hear from you. All referrals for help are dealt with with the utmost discretion and on a case by case basis.

The trustees of The Botley and Curdridge Foundation play a vital role in supporting their community through their voluntary service. Committed local individuals, they dedicate their time and efforts to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
